Proscuitto Pesto Pizza

This is an original recipe that combines many of my favorite flavors. The saltiness from the proscuitto and pesto combined with the sweet sundried tomatoes is a little party in your mouth with each bite. Hubby asks for this once a week...and it never gets old. - Canadian authors Jeffrey Alford and Naomi Duguid have come out with their latest tome - a travel guide/coffee-table book/cookbook focused on China's outlying regions.

"Beyond the Great Wall: Recipes and Travels in the Other China" (Random House Canada) includes lavish photographs from trips the pair made to Tibet, Mongolia, Guizhou, Xinjiang and other parts of the country.

Food in China is "one of life's great pleasures," they write in their introduction.

"But just as food in Spain is not only the food of Madrid or Barcelona, the food of China is much more than the food of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou." Read more
